Our history
Arc-en-ciel d'Anjou is an association whose objective is to promote aeronautical activity and more particularly, hot air ballooning
in the territory of Anjou.
Created in 2002 for the preparation and organization in Brissac-Loire-Aubance,
of the 2003 French Hot Air Balloon Championship.
This association, which brings together around a hundred volunteer members in normal times and more than 400 during major events, has carried out,
with the congratulations of the governing bodies of the FFA
(Fédération Française d'Aérostation), the French championship in 2003
This success allowed the city of Brissac - Quincé to be proposed by the FFA and the FAI as the only French site for the organization of the 2009 European Championship.
A second French Championship took place in 2013, thus celebrating the 10th anniversary
balloon in Brissac
Arc-en-Ciel d'Anjou organizes its Montgolfiades each year, a private gathering for pilots and motivated guides, which make
de Brissac - Quincé, one of the hot air ballooning hotspots in France.
The association accepted a new challenge in 2017 by organizing
the European Championship from August 21 to 27, this one was raised hands down.
